ORILLIA CANADA DAY PARADE
Friday , July 1
Who doesn't love a parade? North River Riders will once again be a part of the Orillia Canada Day Parade. We are marshalling at City Hall Parking lot on
Andrew Street at Colborne St. W. Those who are attending need to remember to bring shovels etc to clean the lot when we leave to ensure we can use it in the future. We will be looking for pooper
scoopers and banner carriers. Parade starts at noon. We should be meeting there before 11 to avoid issues of getting through town etc. and getting ready. As we need to go to the start area by noon to
get in order.
Anyone interested needs to text me at my cell # 705-323-0323 or email me at cowboybills_tackshack@bell.net. The waiver will need to be signed and handed
in before we actually start the parade. Theme of course is red & white for Canada Day. We have told them to keep us away from bag pipes and sirens when figuring out the order. Looking forward to
participating since we have not done so in a long time. Note: It is a one way parade and if you are leaving your trailers at the City hall lot, you need to make your way back unassisted through town.
Just so everyone is aware. Or they can have someone take the trailers down a few streets from Couchiching park along the trail and continue on a bit down the trail and enjoy until reaching your
trailer there. This is often what we do and then we go back later into town to ensure the parking lot is cleaned up. It is easier on the horses and not having to travel back through town.
