Happy to inform everyone that NRR is
participating in the Washago Canada Day Parade, again, this year , Monday July 1. Last year was such a success, we're going to participate there again. The parade starts at 1:00 so marshalling /
parking should occur between 11:15 and 11:30. That will give everyone time to park, offload, decorate horses and riders and get in the spirit
( figuratively!!!). Parking will be in
the St. Francis of Assisi Church parking lot (3315 Muskoka Street) and if necessary, over flow parking will be on the street. In addition to riders/horses/ponies, we need pooper scoopers, banner
carriers and side walkers. Horses/ponies under saddle or being led will all be appreciated by the enthusiastic spectators. Red/white/ Canada is the theme so go wild with your creativity for yourself
and horse/pony.
If you plan on participating, please
email the club at info.northriverriders@gmail.com by Saturday, June 28 at noon, please. The parade committee would like some sense of numbers for their planning.
PLEASE NOTE: all participants must be
club members or obtain a day pass ($10.00). Forms will be available at the marshalling area. Our insurance requires this. Youth riders must wear helmets ( adults are encouraged to do so as
well).
